Physical Attributes: Banjara Greyhounds stand at 27-29 inches
and weigh between 50-65 pounds. Its head and muzzle is long
and narrow with ears that lie flat against the head and almond
shaped dark eyes. Its build suggests strength and agility.
It has a rough silky coat black in color interspersed with
gray and blue colors.
Disposition: It is known to be friendly and pleasant but
not when it is working. It shows a high energy level.
Origin: It is believed that this breed was developed for
the purpose of hunting prey and predators in the less developed
areas of India. Since this breed is mainly restricted to certain
isolated areas and because not much has been done to continue
the attainment and growth of a pure breed, it is recognized
by a few and not much information is available on this breed.
Probable Relatives: Rampur Greyhound, Mahratta Greyhounds

he adjusts to his environment, you may not want to choose
